ACE2 is an entry  receptor for SARS-CoV-2

The SARS-CoV-2 S glycoprotein shares 76% amino acid sequence identity with the SARS-CoV S Urbani and 80% identity with bat SARSr-CoV ZXC21 S and ZC45 S glycoprotein. The latter two SARSr-CoV sequences were identified from Rhinolopus sinicus (Chinese horseshoe bats), the species from which SARSr-CoV WIV1-16 were isolated.
