Application of stem cells for osteonecrosis
Osteonecrosis of the femoral head is the death of osteocytes and subsequent structural change leading to collapse of femoral head and secondary osteoarthritis of the hip joint. Osteonecrosis of the femoral head occurs in the young, necessitating premature total hip arthroplasty.
